Camellia

Meaning and Symbolism
In Victorian England the camellia bloom sent the secret message that the recipient was found to be adorable, charming, and worthy of adoration or veneration. The Camellia also conveys a longing for someone who is missed.

In China, the Camellia represents eternal love, or long lasting devotion. Traditionally, the petals represent the woman, while the green leafy part of the stem that holds the petals together, called the calyx, represents the man who protects her. Usually when the petals fall from the flower, the calyx will stay attached to the tree. However, with Camellias, the petals and calyx fall away together which is why they symbolize deep love and devotion.

The Camellia is the state flower of Alabama, and represents southern beauty.

Cherry Blossom / Little Flower

These little flowers, with their prominent centers, invoke an unquestioning sense of self. They represent being steadfast, harmonious, and grounded regardless of the uncertainty that life brings. The cherry blossom conveys accomplishment, and beauty of heart.

The cherry blossom handwriting bracelet and handwriting necklace have become favorites for remembering Veterans of Vietnam.
