Jacobean Fawn Necklace
sterling silver

This sweet fawn forges her own path. She emerges from a hand carved floral landscape, inspired by Jacobean Crewel embroidery. Images of stylized forests, exotic plants, and woodland animals flourished in England in the first quarter of the 17th century.

GENUINELY HANDMADE
The charm started as a block of wax. I carved the quaint scene in wax, then we cast it in sterling silver in our studio using the lost wax casting method.

The solid sterling silver charm hangs from sterling silver chain. The necklace is given a dark patina to create depth in the design. Finally, I polish the piece by hand, resulting in a rich satin sheen.

Do not go where the path may lead,
go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
