After a long dry spell here in the Pacific Norhtwest, we are finally getting some moisture in the form of snow. It's not typical, to get this much snow in town. Every school in the Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA area is closed, and people have been encouraged to stay home. There is not one tire track leading out of our neighborhood. But all the neighbors are out; every kid is bundled up and sliding down the small hill in the common grassy area, dogs are happily bounding through the powery white stuff, and grown ups are cheerfully greeting friends and neighbors that they haven't seen in a while. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
